My Monday Musings - A New Blog, Yo!

Today is not really a musing as it is a pimping post. Last week I wrote about writing and how I needed to get back into it again. Then suddenly, like a sign from the heavens I get approached by Fadra about an opportunity to write. I have to admit it gave me an ego boost, especially when she wasn't trying to refer me to a writing course!

Nope, instead she let me in on a little secret that is officially out of the bag today. A new blog. I've written about motherhood and how I am still waiting for my letter into the society. Well this new blog gives you an insight into all that and more. And I get to be a contributing writer! That's right, I can say I am a writer AGAIN!

Ch..cha..changes.

So after thinking about it for a bit, I've decided I need to change the nature of our blog. I am toying with the idea of changing the name and focusing the blog on not just Spencer and life with him, but life in general.

I think sometimes we become moms and think the lives we had before aren't as important and the only people we are, are moms. I am finding out little by little that it is OK to be a mom and to also hold on to the person I was before the baby came along. It is a hard balance and most days I deal with a tremendous amount of guilt trying to balance the two. This was the biggest reason that I probably slacked off on this blog...because everything became all about Spencer. How he is, what he is up to, etc. Don't get me wrong, I love gushing about my little man but I still also enjoy a great show on TV, a great meal, a funny story and shopping. I just don't get to do those things as often or in the time frame I was use to bc...you know before child.

So for the five or 6 of you that follow along, while there will still be gushing about the little man, be prepared for some changes. I want to be a more well-rounded blog, talking a little bit about everything from fashion to fun. And also a few rants in between.

I've also been thinking about a blog name change...cause Baby already made 4. Don't really have any ideas on what I want to change it to but I'm thinking. And while I'm thinking about that, looking into changing the style up as well. Maybe making it all more streamlined. Ambitious, right? I mean most days I barely have time to use the bathroom alone...now I'm talking about all this things I want to do on the blog. Guess time will tell.

So fresh and so clean!
