Mr. Independent

So here we are into week 3 of Spencer being 11 months and he is already trying to tell us how to do things. He has become quite independent once we introduced the toddler sized spoon and fork. Of course he still doesn't eat much but when he does, he wants to do it all himself.

I know everyone thinks their child is the smartest and cutest ever born but I can't help and think that mine is the handsomest. I tell him this all the time and wonder how long it will be before he tells perfect strangers he is handsome?

Along with his good looks is his genius brain...he can point out his nose, ear and head. He also knows the sound an airplane makes and that a dog goes woof. Genius, I tell you, genius! The only problem we have is deciding if that genius comes from Mommy or Daddy!

Just the other day while his Tio Joey and Tia Tati was visiting he showed them his moves. They had put on some music and Spencer began bopping and bouncing all around. Gave us quite a good laugh...especially since it tickles him when he finishes and we all clap and tell him good job. We kid about his first day of school...he will walk in and tell his class "I'm here" and wait for applause. I might have to send him to school with a clap track...

  1. We had a friend who had a little girl who was the first grandchild on both sides and had NUMEROUS aunts and uncles. They used to tell her all the time that she was "precious"... They went to the store one day when she was about 2 and ran into a family friend. The friend leaned over and said "Oh, you must be Hannah" and Hannah said "No, I Pwecious"
