Here I am at 35 weeks and so far I have been free from any swelling, hemorrhoids or constipation. I'm sure you were all wondering, so I figure I would just put it out there. You know so those of you who truly suffered could be jealous. The way Hubby pointed it out is like this...easy pregnancy may mean that Baby Smithwick will be a holy terror upon arrival, sort of like payback for letting me glide through 9 months of pregnancy. I really hope not, but that's what Murphy's Law is for isn't it?
This is not to say I don't have my share of aches and pains! If I sit to long, I get stiff. If I stand too long, I get breathless and need to sit. I can't rollover in bed w/o huffing and puffing. My hips hurt so much at night that if I think about it too much I want to cry. I get up at least 4 times at night to
I had another baby shower this past weekend with Hubby's family and friends from their Church. We got so many cute things, I thought I might explode! Baby stuff truly is aww inducing! Here are some pics from the shower:

See the photo with Hubby getting some training? Looks like he needs a bit of help, right? And the grinning pic of Grandma Kathy, she and Grandpa David were the ones that gave us the beautiful wooden high chair!
6 more weeks until the little one arrives...it seems like just yesterday we were finding out the news! Where does the time go?
OH BOY!!! What fun gifts!
ReplyDeleteSounds like everything is progressing just like it should. And of course you can count on any pregnancies AFTER this one to be COMPLETELY different!
i'm getting so excited to meet your little man!!!
It is getting so close! And you look terrific as always!!
ReplyDeleteI think I have said this before, but I believe the universe gives us at least one freebie when it comes to kids, so your easy pregnancy might be your freebie. Mine was nursing. My sister got the worlds best sleeper. But! That doesnt mean your child will be a terror in other ways! Just maybe not a walk in the park ;)
Showers are so much fun! So...are you ready for the home stretch?
ReplyDeleteWhat a GREAT SHOWER! I heart EDDIE BAUER! LOL We had the wooden Eddie Bauer High Chair and latter the Eddie Bauer Wooden booster seat! We also had Eddie Bauer Car Seats but for some reason we did not have good luck with those...it was the boys. They just were NOT comfortable in them. We forked out the Money for Britax and so far they have been much happier.
ReplyDeleteI will be checking in on you guys often over the next few weeks! Take care and rest lots!
I am so excited for you!
Glad to see you back and hear that everything is a-ok!
ReplyDeleteOnly 4 more weeks to go?!? I can't believe it! So...have you decided on the name???
Oh my goodness! Just 6 more weeks! It will fly by. My best advice is to enjoy lots of alone time with your hubby. Go on dates, go out to movies, spend lots of time just the two of you and savor it. Because that little boy will turn your live upside down in the most wonderful way!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool highchair! I've never seen one like that before.
ReplyDeleteI know where the time goes. You're right in that takes forever to waddle everywhere...that's where the time goes. It takes forever to cross the room and, oh look!, a week has gone by!
Excited to hear the news!
HI just checking in on YOU!
